On a warm Fall Friday evening Team RENi had the pleasure visiting and meeting the students and staff of Sossaman Middle School in Higley Unified School District in Arizona. Although the draw of the Fall Carnival was Hot Cocoa, Prize winning games and savory food trucks, students enjoyed meeting a Robot too! Dobot was on scene teaching students and even some parents how to use the Joystick to rotate and move Dobot’s Robotic Arm on the various axes. Even little brothers and sisters joined in the fun and with simple instructions got a turn moving the robotic arm!! Way to go students! This robot makes quick friends!
Other students enjoyed watching Dobot create shapes with the pen end effector and then write their names in different fonts and sizes. One student got creative doing both, see picture! Everyone was drawn to the 3D figures on the table too! Some were surprised the 3D printed heart was the same size as their own!
Team RENi has been experimenting with the grayscale laser engraving, we even grayscale lasered the Sossaman Mascot, Go Spartans!
A big shout out to Mr. McRae for assisting TEAM RENi with the evening set up, thank you students too… we hope to see you real soon!
